Well you can, but it’s not the kind of backup you might be used to. Instead you can create a code that allows you to easily reconnect to what is known as a Qiy Node. Reconnecting to your personal Qiy Node will restore all your connections, for example when you change to a new device.
You may have noticed to get started with Dappre, you didn’t have to go through the laborious task of creating a username and password. Instead, to get going, you simply installed Dappre and created your first card. This process automatically created a personal Qiy Node for you.
So now you might be wondering, “If I don’t have a username and password, how do I get all my connections back when I change to a new device?”. Well… if you are an iOS user and you are restoring from an iCloud backup you won’t have to do a thing, everything will just be there. But even if you are not an iCloud user it’s still pretty easy: on your current device, using Dappre, you simply create a so called “Qiy Node Access Key”. You can do this at a time of your choosing and you only need to do this once.
